Been a minute, huh? I got a little busy with day job stuff and a cross-country move back to my beloved Savannah, Georgia, which I have missed so much this past decade toodling around the desert wilds and to which I am delighted beyond words to return. I've added a couple of personal essays to the Works page and a blog feed here on the Home page, which will function as the repository for a couple of personal projects I'm working on through the Substack platofrm!
I've got the first couple of my original short stories posted! You can now find "The Bookbinder's Daughter," "Hide," "Mourning Dress," and "Tether" under the Short Fiction tab on the Works page.
Whew! It's been a pretty busy one for me recently, but I still managed to get started uploading content here on the site, finally. I started with a selection of poetry I've written over the years. Not everything made the cut, but I sure hope you enjoy the stuff that did! Check it out now on the Works page.
When Finley is suspended from school for fighting, her parents send her to stay with her paternal grandmother in the countryside in the hopes that the calm and quiet might help her center herself. Finley doesn't know much about Gam, but the more she learns about her grandmother and the magical cottage where she lives, the better she understands her own inner workings.
